Independence in the home

Many people with disabilities have a fierce resolve to live as independently as possible. They want to continue to enjoy all the familiar comforts of home. They've no wish to leave behind their cherished, long-established networks of friends. Nor do they want to lose access to everything that's so important to them about their local community.

For friends, family and carers keen to support that choice, safety and security are paramount concerns. They need absolute reassurance that should anything go wrong, the person can summon assistance, easily and immediately. Answer that need comprehensively, and you answer people's precious preference for retaining independence in their own home.

What we've devised in response to this need are various pieces of technology which enable people with disabilities who're living independently to keep in touch. With family, friends, carers, emergency services, call response centres – whoever they need to have contact with to ensure their well-being, day and night.
